Abstract
Background. An important function of the state is the ecological function, which ensures the right of every citizen to a healthy environment through measures to protect and preserve nature. Currently, the anthropogenic impact on the environment as a whole is so strong that a number of new practices for conserving natural resources are required. The relevance of the study lies in the analysis of the environmental policy in Germany and Russia, which is necessary to consider the most effective strategies for environmental protection. The aim of the study is to highlight the environmental issues in the constantly changing modern world and to determine the best policy in Russia and Germany for the conservation and development of the ecological potential in the environment. Materials and methods. The tasks of the study are implemented based on the analysis of Russian and foreign practices of environmental policy. Using the historical, philosophical, comparative methods, as well as applying the dialectical way of thinking, the article examines the problem of the environmental crisis that affects the whole world. The dialectical method enables considering the approaches to this problem in more detail with reference to the two countries, which use various methods of political regulation in the area of ecology in their decision-making. Results. The current state of environmental policy in Germany and Russia is studied, the methods used for regulating environmental protection and preservation are analyzed, and the most effective practices of environmental policy in the two countries are examined. Conclusions. The study of the environmental policy in Germany and Russia makes it possible to understand the basic principles of regulating the interaction between human and nature, to determine that this particular area urgently needs the improvement measures for its conservation, to take into account foreign practices of ensuring protection and preservation of natural resources, as well as promoting humane attitude to nature.
